Award-winning food and wine writer, Marisa Finetti, was born in Tokyo and raised in the San Francisco Bay area surrounded by her family’s restaurant and retail businesses.
After graduating from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a journalism degree, she worked for Paramount Pictures in the area of television promotions prior to working as a corporate communications specialist at Rogers & Cowan public relations agency, which represented the top-grossing celebrities and films in Hollywood.
For the past 15 years, Marisa has written regularly for Las Vegas and regional magazines on the topics of food, wine, and lifestyle. She regularly contributes to DECANTER, is a department editor at DAVID magazine, food and wine editor for CLASS magazine, and contributor at Modern Luxury VEGAS, among others. Marisa is a 2016 and 2018 fellowship recipient of the Professional Wine Writers Symposium, holds an Advanced Level 3 certification with WSET, and is a certified Piedmont Food & Wine Specialist through 3iC.
